The county's Research and Extension Service office serves as an excellent information resource to residents in the focus areas of Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, 4-H and Youth Development and Community Economic Development. The educational efforts of the Kansas State University Research and Extension members are primarily conducted through personal contacts and visitations, public informational meetings, events and demonstrations, newsletters, radio and television programs as well as other electronic media in a continuing effort to provide "Knowledge for Life".
